Have a problem with a Microsoft product? Check out their knowledge base. Visit Microsoft.com and click on the Support button. Drop-down option is the Knowledge Base. Follow the prompts and find solutions.

To start your computer in SAFE MODE, Restart as you normally would, and as soon as you see the screen that describes your system, press F8 quickly. The screen should come up that has starting in SAFE MODE as one of the options.

Buying cheap CDs loaded with games at the service station? Load them, and then your computer freezes? Restart your computer in SAFE MODE, and go to the Control Panel. Then click Add/Remove programs, and delete those cheap games. You get what you pay for.
